Privacy collection notice
The Department of Customer Service (the Department), on behalf of the Commissioner for Fair Trading, gives priority to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We do this by handling personal information in a responsible manner and in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW privacy legislation).
The personal information you provide during the Strata Hub registration process will be collected and used by the Department for the following purposes:
- Processing and managing your registration as a user of the Strata Hub which includes sending you email notifications. This includes mandatory system notifications relating to your use of the Strata Hub, regulatory and compliance information, as well as optional content you opt-in to receive from the Strata Hub. Please note, you can change your preference to receive optional communications at any point via the My Profile section in the Strata Hub or by selecting the unsubscribe link within an email you receive from the Strata Hub.
- Internal administrative purposes, including communicating with you in relation to your use of the Strata Hub.
- We may use the information we hold to support more informed policy making, program management, evaluation, research and service planning as it can facilitate more efficient service delivery for residents and business in NSW.
The Department will store and manage your personal information in accordance with requirements under NSW privacy legislation. We may store the information you provide on external platforms, including Pega systems, and this information will be accessible by relevant areas within the Department. The Department will not disclose your personal information collected during the registration process to third parties without your consent, or unless we are otherwise required or authorised to do so by law.
